The Pelosi Dems

Campaign Promises vs. Results

Promise - We'll be the hardest working congress in history
Truth - Hasn't worked a 5 day week yet since the first of the year

Promise - We'll bring out troops home this year
Truth - Backed away from a vote to unfund the war

Promise - We'll support our troops, but we're setting a time table for withdrawl
Truth - Just passed the second funding bill without timetables, because they didn't have the vote

Promise - We will not bow to the gas lobbies, and we will lower fuel costs for the average americans
Truth - Now that the campaign is over, gas is up another 20%, but the Dems aren't saying a word.

(They did however pass a bill making it illegal to "price gouge"...however they admit they have no evidence of price gouging...so what's the point)

Promise - We will be the most ethical congress
Truth - Last week, when several congressmen refused to vote on a war funding bill that included billions of politcal ear-marks....John Murtha went on a verbal attack on the house floor....so bad...that the Dems insisted he apologize in writing to one of the Rep congressmen.

You get what you vote for folks!!!!

OOOOHHHH-phelia

You've all heard it I'm sure

...she's missed 80% of this year's senate meetings

...she went on a couple of incoherent rants at the few meetings she did make

...this week, she missed all day Monday, and in a phone interview, started crying saying "they wont give me any blood"

...she fell off a bar stool at a Nashville hotel, and had to go to the hospital

...she spent 5 hours in a bar/restaurant, then on the cab ride home assaulted the driver, had to be walked to her room, and left her shoes in the cab (just a note here...I've been to the Wildhorse Saloon....it's as much a restaurant as Coyotoe Ugly is)

So we all know she's a drunk, a lunatic, and should be removed.

But heres a question no one is asking....if she's too sick/drunk to attend Senate meetings, why should the taxpayers pay for the travel, food, and hotels in Nashville? For that matter, if she's so sick.....how is she even making it to Nashville.....oh wait....she flies.......that's right, she FLIES the 200 miles from Memphis to Nashville....and guess who pays for that too?

One more time.....why'd I leave Memphis?

John Ford - Convicted on Federal Bribary charges...and facing more fed charges for $800k in TennCare kick backs. Oh, and because he's broke, we have to pay for a public defender in the 2nd trial.

Ed Ford - Under investigation for bribary.....didn't pay his util bills totally $17k...had to ask for a payment plan...but now that he's being evicted...he wants to buy his building for $1m...where's that money coming from.

Joseph Lee (Willie's Boy) - Finally out....allowed Ed Ford to run up thousands in bills, while cutting the regular people off....under investigation by the Feds...and now being investigated for extortion a black-mail.

Odell Horton - Crafted the unique plan that had MLGW set to pay $61k in legal fees for Lee, and set it up to avoid anyone having to approve them.

Rosco Dixion - In jail

Michael Hooks - In jail, and by the way, we have to pay for his hip replacement while he's there.

Calvin Williams - Heading to jail

Michael Hooks Jr. - TBD

Katherine Bowers - Awaiting trial

MPD - Over a dozen cops arrested in the last two years...the only thing I've heard right about that is when Godwin said..."you get what you hire".....meaning when they started allowing new hires to have "minor" criminal past records...they got what they hired...criminals.

Thanks Memphis for validating my choice to move on almost a daily basis!!!!

Studio 60....as I predicted

In a time when there are enough low-brow shows to choke a horse (Earl, Office, etc)...one of the FEW intelligent shows may be on it's last legs.

As I predicted in my post 6 months ago...NBC has not commited to keeping Studio 60 this fall. Instead they are going to air the remaining epsisodes beginning the end of May...AFTER the sweeps week. Despite the fact that it has out paced 30 Rock (which will be back) The Office (which will be back), and almost all other shows on NBC....they don't seem to think the show has a wide enough audience? Maybe it's because those of us that enjoy the show don't have to wear a "Where's Earl" or "Dunder-Mifflin" t-shirt to enjoy the show.

Please do your part, and sign the below petition to keep the show.
